Yeah, it’s depressing how much of wasted potential the criterion dungeons are. They fill a nice niche of 4 player hard content and being generally somewhere between extreme and savage, but the fact that the rewards are garbage mean most raiders aren’t ever going back in after their first clear solely for the experience. All content sorely needs rewards to bring people back in to keep it alive and criterion dungeons are doing the absolute worst of all content except maybe rival wings.
This has been the first time I’ve gone for relics (I only started playing before endwalker release) and I’m not sure if I should be happy or sad. Definitely has been easy getting them all for all classes but I imagine it’s quite different from what I’ve heard of the grinds of the past.
Yep in the past it took a lot of effort (grinding) to get just one, with the older steps being loosened up as the expansion went on. Personally ended up getting a half dozen finished relics idly grinding in Bozja, now I don’t even bother

If only they didn’t butcher relics this expansion, Criterion would have been amazing for a relic step or two
