Mine has a knob that dings when it hits zero. The only way to turn it off is to twist the knob to zero, so it dings regardless.

For those who don’t know, on most Microwaves if you hold one of the numbers (mine is the 1 button) for about 5 seconds it will silence the beeping.

    You’re welcome.

We recently did this, it was a game changer.

Now the main problem is that my microwave is also a convection oven and they did not design good enough thermal insulation for the electronics, specifically the display. Gradually, one by one, the segments in the display stop working.

Mine does not even have number buttons. Just a bunch for different settings and a dial.

      So it’s not just me?

I thought my microwave was broken lol, coz I put something in the microwave for an entire minute, still completely cold. OK let’s try 20 seconds more, burning hot.

I had a microwave for years that had a split second where you could pop it open, after the time ran out but before the bell rang. It became a family challenge for anyone using it. Aside from the ex, but she was a bit of a happiness-sink.
