    I know you can kind of get into the mob mentality and sucked along for the ride in a riot but it boggles my mind how many people didn’t stop. Like being on the stairs is one thing but once people started going inside the capital you have to think in the back of your mind that this is illegal. Like at the very least you’d see the guys who were trashing things and looking for members of Congress and think “oh no am I the bad guy”.

      I think a lot of them wanted to be a part of history.

      Turns out they’re going down in history as a mob of dumbasses.

      Hope so, anyway.

      I think a lot of them believed Trump’s lies completely and assumed he’d pardon them.

      I agree, I’ve been in many protests over the years and you could sense when something was not right. Like if the crowd built a platform to hang people on.
