The firefighters backed this appointed government but they took away firefighter perks. “Leopards ate my face” material.
Last month, the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District board revoked all of the land’s firefighters’ free passes to the Disney parks and resorts. First responders told the Miami Times this made visits to the theme park unaffordable.
“The removal of this benefit takes away, for some, their entire reason for working here,” a firefighter named Pete Simon told the Miami Times.
The Disney firefighters’ union actually once backed the new board, rebranded from the longstanding Reedy Creek Improvement District, but now opposes it because of this move.
Well obviously you don’t want to share the park with the poors, now do you?!
You know they could fight to make the park more affordable for everyone, rather than whining about losing their own benefits, right?
I thought R’s were all about letting businesses make their own decisions. This is an all around Leopards Ate Their Face situation.

I bet the pharaoh said the same thing.
said government work is “a calling” and government employees “actually work for God.”
He then read a passage from Romans 13: “Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God,” the passage began. “And those which exist are established by God. Therefore, whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves.”
“So we’re to obey the police, firefighters, government, all of those in authority” Netzorg offered as commentary.
How about that “render unto Caesar” passage there, rev? You paying your fair share of taxes? Not taking advantage of loopholes?
AGAB when
“Just bend over, dont ask questions”
No… Pastor only says that to the kids.
I hate every religion equally,
but let’s be clear that you’re thinking of catholic priests, not pastors.Edit: well, I’ve been schooled.
Every major denomination that has looked into it has found similar- or more frequent- instances of abuse.
Every. Denomination. The only religions that “don’t have a problem” haven’t invested in the effort to check.
Holy shit! I stand corrected, then.
American protestant pastors also molest kids. Secular coaches too. Teachers as well. Also doctors and nurses.
It’s a global problem. Basically any one in power over kids.
Which is why it’s important to pay attention to how those people act around your kids. Most aren’t. But enough are.
Gonna drop this one, as well: https://stopabusecampaign.org/2018/01/08/is-there-more-sexual-abuse-in-the-protestant-churches-than-the-catholic-church/
Also there was that incident with the Dalai Lama, and some reports from Muslim-dominate worlds in Islam.
That Dalai Lama thing was weird as hell.
…yeah.
I can’t think of any major religion that doesn’t have a child molestation scandal of some sort.
