    Being from a different capitalist state with the same class interests does not make a product better or more trustworthy in any way.

      Not by itself, no.

      But with legislation like the GDPR in place it gives you legal recourse if you are a citizen of the EU.

        That’s a misunderstanding. Any service, regardless of where is it based, is obligated to comply with the GDPR if they conduct business in the EU.

        I can put a GDPR deletion notice out for any American company, too.

          And they have shown again and again that they do not really honor those requests.
