It was a PS3 exclusive for a long while, but it has since made its way to PC, as well. It’s one of those games that has to experienced, and I still introduce new people to it. Last time I visited my sister, I let her play it on my steamdeck and she was off drawing hearts in the sand for strangers :D

Quite a few people on Reddit said it was their best game ever which made me look for it and it happened to be free. I’m glad you’re spreading the word and I agree, it’s a wonderful experience. I bought the flowers game from the same devs and it was great as well but in a completely different way. Flowers has a little bit more angst to it imo and even thought they’re both great, I prefer Journey.

Journey is special. It does something utterly beautiful in how it connects you with another player.

It was truly a lightning in a bottle.

It’s unfortunate That Game Company kind of broke up after Journey. Some members left to make Abzu, and that game was stale in comparison to Journey.

Haven’t played (or barely heard much of) the game TGC made after Journey.

It’s incredible. To this day you reliably still meet other travellers in the game.
