Every time I hear one of these hypothetical Fantasyland takes of everyone getting on the same page I almost laugh. It would be nice, and I really don’t want to increase my already high level of cynicism, but does anyone really think we’ll all get on the same page? I know in the US a large swath of the population holds strongly to anti-environment beliefs, firmly rooted in ignorance and culture war rhetoric. I also know that rampant capitalism will do everything it can to protect short term gains.
