@Profilename1 I agree with your right up; your first game might have been the better of the two. I haven’t played the final version of JC2, but in the first one, the most interesting games were cash poor and always teetering on the edge of collapse.

Indonesia: Booo people who are merge happy and still lose.

Have you ever played Bus at 3?

What did you think about expropriation in Fresh Fish? (I think it’s possibly the most polarizing aspect of it))

The trigger happy mergers probably helped me more than they hurt. At one point I dumped a spice company in the chaos and took the cash lead, letting me get a bargain on a rubber merger. It put me back into the game, but it wasn’t enough to take the win.

I have played Bus at three. It’s been awhile, so I can’t say too much about it. That said, I do remember having fun at that count.

As far as expropriation, I felt confusion more than anything. It got better as the game went on, but it does take a moment to wrap your head around it. Still, I though it was an interesting mechanic.

@Profilename1 While Bus isn’t my jam necessarily, I did enjoy my plays at 3 the most; I remember one of the last games we played of it, the winner only had 2 points. Starving someone is lucrative at 3p, more so than at 4 or (especially) 5 in my experience.
