Now we’re just waiting on fun and cheap electric cars
And definitely lighter electric cars so the roads and bridges that already exist can support them like they can support ICEs (sorta). And batteries that don’t use conflict minerals like lithium so you don’t have to violate human rights rules so often just to build a car.
Maybe we could just expand public transportation in and between population centers so we don’t have to rely on our cars so much, which could lead to the act of driving being more enjoyable again?
All that too!
Lighter electric cars would also be more fun. My dream car is a miata lol. I’m curious to see how Mazda is going to handle electrification with a car who’s identity is weighting practically nothing so its a blast to throw around corners
Would I love a test drive in that? Oh absolutely.
But beyond that, I have very little interest in these kinds of cars. When something is so outside the realm of possibility in terms of price and accessible performance they are utterly pointless in my book.

I’m not really a car person at all, but that thing is pretty damn awesome.
