    Hmmm.

Sega is a subsidiary of Sega Sammy Holdings. Sammy is a major developer of pachinko machines.

I wonder where this is going?

go to your local pachinko parlor
buy a lot of pachinko balls
see birds flying according to the speed of the balls you input in the machine

I mean, I don’t play pachinko, but I think it’d be more fun if the balls had the birds on them and you knocked some piggies down as you bounced down the machine or at least knocked them down at the bottom depending on where you landed.

No where radical, since that has been the situation since early 2000’s. Sega was struggling, Sammy had money from pachinko and Sammy wanted to diversify to not be one trick pony reliant on pachinko gambling. Thus was created SegaSammy Holdings. It might mean some Sammy pachinko machines and Sega Entertainment arcades get Angry Birds IP content, now that they own the IP.
