Summary

Gazprom reported a $13.1 billion loss in 2024, driven by the loss of its European market and increased tax liabilities.

The company’s revenue rose by 11%, but falling share prices and a 25% income tax rate contributed to the deficit.

Gazprom’s 2023 gas exports to the EU fell to 32 billion cubic meters, significantly lower than peak levels.

The financial crisis forced mass layoffs, including 1,600 central office employees. The EU’s shift away from Russian energy and Ukraine’s refusal to extend a gas transit agreement exacerbated the situation.

What about all the Ukrainian drone strikes on their refineries and processing plants? Surely they have a major effect on that, too? I wonder how much these account for.

Fuck Russia. Burn that shithole to the ground.

Yeah but the Russians wouldn’t acknowledge that, “it’s the fault of the west!!” as usual.

I bet the losses are worse too lol.

I hope they are. After all the sanctions, the war, infrastructure destroyed, it still doesn’t really seem like they are feeling it.

That’s true. They keep claiming they intercepted these drones. Lmao. Sure buddy. Great interceptions all around.

        What a shit show.

The real strength of drones is, that you can send them in swarms. If you send, as example, 100 drones on the way to a refinery it does not really matter if you shoot down 50,because 50 drones still do a shit ton of damage.

Yes. Thanks for the reminder. Drones are fucking scary as hell.

They are cheap to produce. Can be built in the thousands (probably millions if shit goes down) in short time. And then good luck to ANY air Defense.

It‘s scary. And it will happen that a country will just instantly be bombed to shit by drones because they don’t have enough AA missiles or whatever.

We somehow moved from human soldiers to automated weapons. But somehow also, civilians are still the target.

            Fuck humans. We fucking suck.

Absolutely. Drones are a fucking nightmare. They are cheap as hell, they can be made in big quantities and developing them is quite easy, since you can 3d print a lot of the parts.

So right. They’re really scary. On the other hand (off topic) god I wish I had a 3D printer. These things sound AWESOME.
