Rimowa is still made in Germany I believe.
Edit: Zarges is made in Germany and Hungary if you want something that is super basic, and works. It’s not designed as luggage, which is good and bad. Good is that you don’t have extra weight and loss of packing volume from telescoping handles and wheels. Bad is that you really want an airport trolley.

Titan bags makes the same style as Rimowa in polycarbonate in Germany.
Polycarbonate is durable, except in extreme cold.
