Nothing quite says “high-performance muscle car” like a popup ad for a Mopar Extended Warranty covering your whole center console. That’s right, Dodge Charger owners are now experiencing an exciting new feature: pop-up ads that appear every time the vehicle stops at a light. This garbage feature was spotted in the wild, take a look at how it looks.

What I really want is the EV equivalent of an old Jeep. No antennas of any kind, no “infotainment”, no radio / music, no bluetooth support, no nothing not related to going from A to B. If I want to call somebody, I’ll pull over and use a phone. If someone calls me, they can wait until I’m not driving.

That’s cool for your exotic collectible vehicles you take out on sunny days but I don’t know if I’d want that as my daily. Modern cars, while plagued with massive corporate bullshit, also tend to be much much safer for occupants and external parties, as well as coming with creature comforts I’m not sure I’d like giving up.

I think usually you provide them with a donor vehicle and they swap in the electric motor (something like this Wrangler example). They tend to leave the gearbox as is by the looks of it.
