Except the USA was forced into the fight, the USSR faught with the Nazis until the Nazis betrayed them and attacked them.
I don’t actually know that much of the Asian theathre of WW2 except the Japanese were like the Nazis of Asia.
I think that’s kind of he point; hence the “you know you fucked up when…”

“You” == Nazis, not Russia / USA.
