This is clearly a way for Epic Games to promote their new alternative to Google Play and Apple’s App Store, but hey, free games. Seems they need network access to do a licence check, but once that’s done they appear to work offline.

Of course, no option to just claim them to play later.
Yeah, you do have to install the Epic App Store on your phone to claim them. But once you have that you can claim them, without downloading, if you tap install and then immediately cancel the install. That’ll register them to your account, without having them download now.
That’s the same as Google Play though. If this behaves in the same way then pressing the download button will add it to your account for the future.
Worth an experiment. I’m downloading now…
I received the same form of email receipt as I did for claiming PC games, so that’s a positive sign
Listed under your transactions once you start downloading (still not done with KOTOR 2).
They don’t make it easy to find them though.
Good detective work
It’s hard finding and reinstalling what you’ve previously bought, so I am a bit loath to remove KOTOR 2 until I figure that bit out. There should be a “library” link but…
It is a relatively new app so maybe they haven’t perfected the UI yet. This is Epic though, so I wouldn’t hold my breath on it improving.
I hate that so much about Epic. How hard is it to just give you a library view? On desktop you have to use their app (or some third party tool) and now they can’t even manage to put it in their Android app.
Edit: Now I’m curious whether KOTOR will appear in Heroic.
Edit 2: They don’t.
