        But we have rigid, humorless mods here, too? They aren’t exclusive to reddit lol

        Reddit was pretty good at keeping subs on theme. You could tell when a sub was going to shit when they started allowing “close enough” posts

          eh, I’ve never been harassed by a mod here or had to jump through weird hoops to get a post up. In terms of standards, I think mods need prioritize actually getting community engagement before they even need to think about enforcing rules. To do it the other way screams of mod insecurity

                I dunno man, browse All and this is one of the most prominent communities. I think it’s a good community and it doesn’t need the rules bent to make it work, it’s not like there’s a shortage of appropriate posts
