We need to setup an export egg tax in Canada.

This is no news. This is an offer from Canada published via “globalnews.ca”. Meaning, noone listened to them beforehand and now they make it public that the US isn’t interested to lower the domestic price of eggs. …

… they had not yet received any request for eggs from the United States …

The big question is by how much production declined in the US.

Well. Sadly a majority of Canadian news outlets are owned by Postmedia (I personally feel like that’s a bit too “on the nose”,) which is in turn majority owned by Chatham Asset Management, which is in turn fully owned by Anthony Malchiorre. Anthony, and CAM, have a long and…robust…history of being Republican mouthpieces. So.

        What has (Canadian) journalism become?

GOP Propaganda? Obviously there’s still a bit of journalistic and editorial freedom. But it’s a fat lougie in the eye of the law that says Canadian media is to be majority Canadian owned. Sure… Postmedia is “Canadian”…about as fucking Canadian as Timmie’s is these days. Which isn’t fucking Canadian by a cunt-ry km

Yep, the CBC, which the Tories are talking about defunding if they get back into power. Now the CBC ain’t perfect, but I trust it more than I trust Postmedia owned outlets.

In even number years “nutiritionists” say egg whites are bad for you. In odd numbered years they say egg whites are good for you and the yolks are the real problem.

Since it’s an odd numbered year, they’re probably telling people to not eat egg yolks, only the egg whites.

But that’s “nutritionists.” Actual scientists say having 7 eggs per week (one every morning) is totally fine and won’t cause any harm to your heart.

Apparently animal rights activists jump on board with any quackery that fits their agenda.

Eggs are made up of fats/ cholesterol and proteins, which over the course of a lifetime do damage to your heart and arteries. assuming you ate one egg a day and you lived an average human lifespan of 75 years, you would eat around 27,375 eggs.

Theres about five grams of fat and six grams of protein per egg. Add that up to about an extra 300 pounds of fat and 300 pounds of protein pumping through your arteries. I wouldn’t be surprised if an extra 600 pounds of collective lard processed by your organs eventually contributes to a extra clot somewhere sometime consistently across enough people to show up in a case study stastical analysis.

The thing with the super vegan healthy nutritionist types is they get off on moral superiority. They believe caring about animal rights and making their family members watch food.inc to learn of the horrors of factory farming makes them a more virtuous tribe of people. Also they morbidly enjoy the idea of outliving meat-eaters or those who cook their veggies instead of eating them raw for the nutrients as a kind of reward for a ‘better, more natural’ lifestyle.

In my experience its the young adults in their 20s going through the hippy phase who don’t really have a strong sense of identity so they latch onto veganism as something to define themselves, to fuel their ego and a way to feel good through perceiving themselves as more moral. Eventually though after a few years and getting tired of juicing they start easing up. “The white bird flesh, eggs, and fish aren’t REALLY meats right? Plus it says organic farm raised so…”.

Its nice to feel self rightous and smug about not contributing to the factory farming complex but your abstinence doesnt really change much and that kind of false virtue eventually rings hollow. Eggs are tasty and they add something to the life of people who enjoy eating them. They deem that enjoyment to be worth the cost of business of health risk.

Fats and proteins are necessary for your diet, and fats are 9 calories per gram (40 per egg in this instance), and 4 calories per gram of protein (24 calories per egg in this insurance).

I wouldn’t be surprised if that eventually contributes to a clot somewhere.

Calories don’t automatically get stored in your veins and arteries just because of the type of caloric delivery method.

Even egg delivery also matters. A hard boiled egg is more likely to satiate than a fried or scrambled egg.

Otherwise, I feel like your comment is on point.
