    Umm… I was going to jokingly ask if “/hj” meant “hand job”, but decided to do a quick search first…

    Edit: I assume you actually meant “half joking”, but given the context, I’m hoping I didn’t stumble upon a dog whistle.

      It means “half-joking”, jfc. And don’t get it twisted, that means “jesus fucking christ” and is not a dogwhistle.

      I understand the world is fraught right now, but maybe take a second before you call someone out over something as innocent as fairly common internet-speak.

        My apologies if it came off as an accusation. I was pretty sure “hand job” wasn’t the correct answer in this context, but couldn’t think of any other logical meanings, so I figured I’d look it up myself before making a joke, and was caught very much off guard by the search results. It’s not until the 4th search result that “half joking” or even “hand job” were even mentioned.
