Summary

Federal workers are resisting Trump’s aggressive purge of civil servants, which includes firing inspectors general, sidelining officials, and eliminating diversity initiatives.

His administration has pressured employees to accept a vague “buyout” offer, widely seen as unreliable. Some workers are scared but determined to stay, using unions and social media to organize.

Trump also mandated an abrupt return to in-person work and plans to nullify federal employee union contracts.

Many civil servants vow to remain, citing their oath to the Constitution despite growing fear and uncertainty.

You see that? Rank and file employees are much more invested in saving our nation than elected politicians. And could probably better run it, too.

Most of the rank and file have been through many administrations.

They’re the backbone and bedrock of the government which is why this administration wants to get rid of them.

But remember that Trump said he was going to do this and Americans gave him an overwhelming win.

There is really no choice. Nothing he is doing is being done in an official manner it seems so its like you just have to keep going and work with the union and sue and such.

I know two federal workers that were planning to retire during the Trump administration, but are staying because of this shitshow. One of them even cited he saw how the “buyouts” at Twitter went under Elon and, “I ain’t falling for that shit he’s pulling.”

They’re all pretty scared and anxious though, I feel awful for them. The treasury workers especially.
