Yes, Xi made an announcement last week it will start off in one of the major cities with full removal in a few months. Chinese citizens will be able to sign up on all ‘western’ social media. The US opening Pandora’s box with the TikTok ban has let the Genie out of the bottle. I suspect other tech to come out of China will make the US look like its living in the mid 1800s

Your argument should focus more on what the implications of what it means for China to become more powerful, not the “intellectual property” aspect. Like what jurisdiction? The powerless UN?
