Tech companies are dumb enough without need to exaggerate. Your chance of having a general llm state something so brazen is next to zero.

What you see here is someone with more authority then brains having configured an llm prompt to “look trough the search results for the question and summarize the most engaged with answer” or similar. Because they don’t actually care about quality and only about how investors perceive the company.

In my experience both “the internet” and “llm” have a similar flaw in confidentiality stating incorrect info mixed with real info. A combination of the two amplifies this beyond anything useful.

Used next to eachother with a responsibly human operator in control can be incredibly effective however. Its about knowing how to use the tools available and to trust exactly none of them.

I know this is absolute horseshit but I’m sure my brain will curse me with a couple dreams related to this now. Horrible.

It’s another, more insidious model of a Speak & Spell meets Teddy Ruxpin/Furbies in a Freedumb Fone toy that the “Ow, My Balls” (trans. “Hold My Beer”) crowd is known to crave so hard.
