I think they’ll portray themselves as conservatives whether they are or aren’t. Mainstream artists typically have corporate-crafted personas that they have to stick to in order to stay relevant for their target demographic.

I think you are right. I also think a lot of traits that country music stars portray are seen as conservative type traits.
