My (41m) parents get me a good sized set, usually I’ll pick out a few and they’ll pick one. This year i got the Ghost and Phantom Star Wars Rebels set. Had to buy a new bookcase to make room on then one I display my sets on. Now if only they wouldn’t get dusty.

I got two Speed Champion sets, Ferrari F40 and Audi S1 e-tron.

Unfortunately I haven’t had the time to build them yet.

No, and I specifically asked no one give me lego because I still have the modular history museum boxed in my basement that I’ve yet to build.

having a young cat in the house has made the prospect of building unattractive.

Wife got me the tuxedo cat set. We have an all black cat and I’m really considering ordering the white pieces in black if it doesn’t cost too much.

Yup. Got the mini Agrabah palace, 3-in-1 birdhouse, and the Ideas tree house set. The Walmart near my in-laws had a bunch of sets at 40%-50% off, as well, so we indulged a bit there, too. 😛

I gave away my unopened Lambo (42115) set after staring at my unfinished Bugatti (42083) set that sat for 2+years without progress. Both were covered in dust. I accepted that I might never open the other set.

No, I’m not rich. I just bought 5 sets when I went to legoland on a trip my therapist suggested to get out of a depression slump. The other sets were small and digestible.

I aim to finish that set this year.

I got that for my mother and my niece.

Mum had fun building it and has decided to start a collection of the botanicals and replacing her cheap plastic houseplants with them.

I’m an enthusiast and did not receive any sets, thankfully. I have way too many sets to display so I’m only buying things I’m really interested in. I have multiple large totes in the garage of new or broken down sets due to a lack of space to display them.

This looked like it was going to be the first time in 2 decades+ that I got no LEGO, but my daughter had ordered a set for me. It arrives tomorrow or Wednesday.

I gifted the kiddo Lego Monkey Palace board game. I’ve never enjoyed the Lego video games, they feel like such a missed opportunity to encourage creativity through building, but this board game is pretty great. The instructions are a little overwhelming at first but once we got the feel for it everyone had a great time. It’s got a spacial puzzle feel to it while everyone collaboratively builds a palace structure and competes to make it taller. The little guy didn’t want to tear it down because “it looks so cool” but was very excited for another round.

You might check out the Lego Worlds game. I believe this is the one that’s in a style similar to Minecraft and not one of the puzzle type (admittedly my favorites) that most of them are.
