She came back from the future, like a Terminator, and stuffed her past-self glands with tardigrades, so her pre-tears are transported to a micro verse that needs salt water for reasons. I liked the series. Not my favourite. But I like it.

The only question I have about Discovery is: do you think Michael Burnham is ever capable of crying?
