People can be added by the maintainer, or automatically based on profile content/keywords. There are a bunch of lists for different things. Like, if you don’t want to see crypto bros, or AI artists selling shit, or whatever.
Basically, you subscribe to the list (e.g. https://bsky.app/profile/did:plc:e4elbtctnfqocyfcml6h2lf7/lists/3l53cjwlt4o2s ) and then, as people get added to the list, they’re automatically blocked for your.
