Parts of the VCE exams were leaked this year as you could see some of the questions by highlighting the cover pages. I wonder if someone working at VCAA did that on purpose to see how long it would take for someone to find it.

Found a backpack in the front garden today and these are the contents

Most of it I understand and it obviously belongs to someone with not so very good intentions. You’ve got syringes, keys, tools, gloves, hammer, crowbar etc… but a TV remote (and no TV) and a pair socks has me fairly perplexed.

Don’t need this right now but as they say bad luck comes in threes just waiting for #3

Been looking everywhere for that backpack so thanks mate, lemme know when it’s cool to come prick back up!

And I reckon your #3 will be you winning the RSL and having to move to QLD ❤️

The remote may be a generic one used to see if it opens garage doors to get into houses. The gloves, tools and more keys than one person could reasonably own do suggest break ins.

I know a neighbour had an intruder a few years ago and when they got arrested cops found the person had stolen his keys. So that’s probably it. They might take them intending to come back.

The socks may be used to tie the arm off for injecting, or a spare pair. But with the filters and syringes there it’s probably the former.

Baffled by the plug in light (is that what that is?) but maybe it’s hands free lighting that wouldn’t be too bright.

Perhaps the cops might like a look but not sure what they can do if nothing has happened yet.

Perhaps you might like to babysit a nice loud doggo for a little while til things are less sketchy.

Edit: Security camera is also a great idea if possible

        Yeah my thoughts too.

The plugin light is an odd one.

i’m intrigued by your TV remote suggestion I’ve never heard that’s a thing jeez.

I think I will hit up the local police see what they make of it all.

thank you kindly for your suggestions :)

The socks might be for deadening the sound of the hammer breaking something. I too reckon it’s time to borrow Hambam for a week or two. Or even Butters - who is quite capable of sneering a burglar to death imo.

Thank you. I’m hoping things stabilise over the next few days and a bit of vision is restored but it’s hard to know right now.

Worrying… sounds like it’s time for hambam to come help guard the joint for a bit (if he’s up for it). I hope you don’t get that unlucky trio

When I saw it I thought ‘well that not usual’… opened it up ‘hrmmm’.

Hambam would probably just grab his ball and wait for the throw :)

That’s an old school remote. Can be used for TV and blu-ray (although the blu-ray remote looks a little different) and it can still be used for newer Samsung TVs. Perhaps it’s been modified for opening garage doors or something.

The switch to video feature on Spotify is pretty cool. The way it switches to exactly where the audio track is playing in the video on command. Probably a gimmick I’ll get over but for now, I’m enjoying watching music videos I haven’t seen for ages (or never seen).

Mental health wise I’ve been in real crisis for the past couple of weeks but I seem to have come back from the brink somewhat.

Is it weird that I don’t remember large chunks (think years) of my childhood?

Glad to see you back 💜 I noticed your absence but wondered if you were just lurking 💜

I'ma place this under a spoiler just in case

I also am missing a lot from my childhood, but that’s the cptsd. Trauma tends to cause a repression, though I assume you know this. Please don’t take me saying this, as telling you what’s up. That’s just my experience.

Also, I do think some memories do fade naturally anyway, especially as we age.

I hope things take a turn for the better for you WS 💜

The leave relaxation has kicked in. Goodbye work, hello good times!!!

Im so fucking excited to get the car on Saturday. Maaaaaaan I think I’ll drive all night lol

Edit: sorted free entry and $350 of free drink cards at 3 clubs 😂 fuck yeah!

If you google “birthday specials” you’ll see a bunch of clubs that offer stuff for free on your birthday.

Even fluffy is getting in on the action:

Due to popular demand I went out for groceries and petrol today.

    Finally back home and settled.

Everything took so much longer today due to the massive traffic accident on the Nepean highway being blocked in 3 lanes.

Entry to car park of shopping centre was closed and escalator was borked.

Was too tired so I didn’t get to look at some stuff I wanted to and I didn’t get the potatoes. I’ll get them next week.

Anyway glad to be safely home with all the stuff happening and got my pakidge!

        Thank you.

You’ve also done such an amazing job with packing up for your move.

You deserve some rest and dinner as well!

Just cooking up some of those green leafy vegetables.

I’m not even sure what they are but they’re used in Asian dishes and have like little yellow flower spouts?

WHEW. I am tuckered. The house is starting to look a lot emptier, though!

    Today's tasks were...
    • uni meeting online
    • misc admin (the REA still hasn’t arranged what time I’ll pick up the keys tomorrow… truly useless)
    • Packing stationery
    • Dismantling the bed frame and vacuuming so much dust underneath
    • Filling in the holes from the blinds now removed (mostly my friend did it…)
    • Dismantling the bookshelf
    • Consolidated op shop clothes, books and shoes (which my friend generously dropped off)
    • put the clothes and shoes to throw out in the bin
    • MOVED OUT ALL MY OUTDOOR PLANTS (except for two heavy planter boxes) ;_;

Swung by MKS on my way back to treat myself to some takeaway curries for dinner.

Now my next big task is the kitchen items… need to juggle this against the timing of unplugging my fridge on Sun am.

That’s enough for today though I think. I’m proud of myself and endlessly grateful to my friend.

Yeah I pushed myself to pack up my monitors and other wfh items to try and get that big messy area out of the way.

I won’t have everything done by the time another friend comes over on Saturday to help with the main move, but at least that stuff can go.

Now I’m really done for the day! 😪
