Though the official process and the actual process is probably pretty different, especially after multiple hang fires. Eventually they probably just see the dud, flip over the mortar to dump out the dud, throw it as far as possible, then try the next one.
What do you even do in that situation? You have to assume it can go off at any time right ?
Ask one of the NK guys to get it out.
