I haven’t done any in a while. Just spent too much time sick in bed this year, at least 4 months 😔, and the rest of the year was doing big house cleaning and sorting

There really should be more politicians of a working class background representing the interests of ordinary people… instead we get that. :(

Also it’s a bit rich for an Aussie to tell anyone to go back where they came from…

It’s because those Aussies don’t see First Nations as actual real people with rights lol

Absolutely. The only good things from when I went to Uni was doing the aboriginal languages, and first nations culture. I have a lot of sources I saved to whip out for deniers haha.

There’s a harrowing recount of a massacre, written by a modern woman as a retort to another bloke who denies the genocides (they’re both academics), and I like to pull that one out for the shock value. I have it available but it’s nsfw

I once saw an interview on ABC of an old farmer from Gippsland , this was over 30 years ago, where he talks about giving local first nation families sacks of poisoned flour. He talked of finding the dead families, children included. He had no sense of shame or guilt. So the interview is about 40 years old now and the guy was about 80 talking about when he was in his 20s and 30s, so this was maybe 100 years ago, that’s still 20th century.

This is what it was like, individuals like this evil bastard committing murder.

I don’t know if there was any organisation by or talk among farmers to commit systematic genocide.

I have heard of two instances from the mouths of the perps. The Gippsland one and Northern Territory.

                  It was farmers, always graziers.

They would run families away from natural watering holes too, ( who would then of course die of thirst or hunger. ) There is a chapter on that in “We of the Never Never”.

You gotta stop giving those drug dealers an upfront payment before getting the goods. Especially if they tell you to desposit it via cashapp or PayPal lol.

Always cash when buying, and no pre-payment lol

Nah jokes aside that’s fucked up! Like wtf? And the fact they did it on the weekend when they aren’t open is evil. There isn’t an after hours number you could call? Or something you could do via the online portal? Idk I’m sorry

That sounds really messed up. How on earth would this be managed if you were overseas?! And with branches being few and far between this really sucks. After the commbank outage recently I’m starting to think it might be beneficial to have accounts with multiple banks as a backup.

If you were out east side I’d spot you some cash… will you be OK for today and tomorrow?

Oh man. The hops which they send you through to fix your account is atrocious.

My one beef is that they keep sliming down branch locations and opening hours and it’s next to impossible to get it fixed at times.

I hope it’ll be fixed for you soon. Keep us updated!

One of my neighbours has been playing classical music over the last week or two and it’s just so lovely to go out on the balcony and listen.

Some opera singers, classical instrumentals shame I know the songs but not the names of them.

Edit: O Sole Mio!!! That’s it! That’s what my neighbour is playing right now

It really is so soothing. I think the neighbours playing the classical music might be the two Melbourne famous musicians who live in my building. The lady is a composer and conductor for an orchestra, and the bloke is a semi-well-known jazz sax player. They are so cultured 😭 I’m intimidated lol but they’re extremely down to earth and lovely people tbh

In my dream someone was making breakfast cocktails. Something with blitzed pears.

My cup of tea is fine, but I could totally go a fancy pear cocktail.

Super grateful I got the ps5. As much as I love music, the spark isn’t always there.

Final fantasy rebirth is so good so far!

I have to admit though, I do find it hard to just relax. This intense need to be productive at all times hangs over my head.

Second breakfast was a success. Met with friend/colleague from last job and sat in a cafe playing chess for two hours. Won 2/2 games which is rare, she’s better than me, and the second game was an absolute epic. No blunders, really long and spicy end game. Lots of fun!

Second batch of soap (the one I messed up and had to re-cook) is now out of the moulds and looking good. Now I just have to wait a couple of months for drying.

Yeah, but you’re juggling some manner of complicated health issue - I do not know what, and I’m not going to ask because that’s your business, but you’re very open about the notion that your health is complex.

The benchmarks might be in different places for you

Strong! I couldn’t do one now but I went from 0 to 12 in about 9 months a few years back. I know how hard it is! Keep at at it 💪💪💪 Edit: don’t mean to one up you. The first one is the hardest, if you’re at three now it’s going to be easier from here to build.

Drove all the way to Preston to fill up at the last servo still doing 169/L (forgot I gotta drive to Ballarat tomorrow). Saved $7 compared to the other joints at 189, probably worth it as it would’ve only been about 50c extra of petrol. Dropped off some insanely overdue library books. Worked out how to undo the key lock I had my spare keys in. Laundry done. Now time to make a brunch of spinach, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and toast.

Next up, grab some boxes and sort out empty jars (colleague has offered to take em all) and expired/unlikely to be used food in pantry. Might use up some of the pantry stuff to take tomorrow, maybe a big batch of BBQ jackfruit. E: nope it’s going to be rice and curry, so jackfruit curry it is. And toor dal with spinach.

Ouchhhh. I haven’t had to think about petrol regularly for quite a while (work car, then rarely needing to commute for work) and forget about the bloody PH price bump… Hope where you’re going to will be worth the petrol tho!
