It’s great news because it will now be available in other countries which ban F2P games with « gacha » mechanics. I think I will give it a try in December (but I have to get some info on it first, I like Animal Crossing games but I have no idea how good this mobile version is).
Why are they doing it? Legal troubles? I didn’t see any explanation in the article.
I much prefer a flat fee monetization model.
The next question is will it actually be a paid premium download, eligible for family sharing, or will they structure it is a free download with a “full game unlock” IAP?
It’s available for preorder as an outright paid app, at least on Apple platforms.
