    I never intentionally break those, usually I just play with them for days until they ultimately break against my wishes

    I was never like that. I liked my things pristine. Which is why I never loaned things to others because they’d always forget to return them, or return them broken.

    But only ever with those Bic pencils. I never break the pocket clips off any other writing instruments, but for those pencils it compulsively has to go.

    Then I feel bad about it until I’d lose the pencil; and then the cycle would begin again.

    Mmmm you gotta do the twist break, where you push sideways on the bottom part to see if you can snap off the entire clip piece, rather than having that shitty nub left.

    But if you end up with the shitty nub by accident, you gotta bite that bitch off.

    In college I bought myself a 50 pack of those cuz I lose shit a lot, and that clip never lasted more than a few hours on any new pencil…
