Hey all!

Thought I’d get an discussion going about one of the most integral parts of gameplay and builds: the weapons!

I know that it’s currently really hard to swap weapons whole doing the campaign, as materials and scrap are super hard to come by. But some discussion with interesting ideas on what one could focus on next seems interesting to me :D

For the long gun:

  • Blackmaw AR-47, with Hot Shot mod (auto reload, 15% dmg buff and nice fire dot) as well as the Momentum Mutator (gain crit chance upon crit ting, stacking 10 times). This makes for a good DPS and sustained fire, nice range and relatively precise weapon.

For the sidearm:

  • MP60-R, with Healing Shot mod (extra safety net / healing in coop) and the Deadly calm (more ranged dmg when ADS) or Bandit (chance to regain ammo in magazine on hit). Not super happy with the sidearm, but I haven’t found many mutators, so I kinda swap to what I feel like works best.

So what are your fav weapons and combos right now? :)

    For my long gun Im using the bonesaw with overflow and bandit mut. And I’ve been switching the sidearm around depending on the situation but I’ve found that enigma works well in many many situations with many different mutators. I’m still not done with my first run through though, so I’m still on the lookout for a new favorite lol

      Just recently got enigma and am really looking forward to leveling it up and using it in a shock build I’m currently working on :D

      Any preferred mutators? The ones I like mostly function with crits, and the enigma doesn’t seem to be critting anyhow

        I don’t have very many mutators atm, but I’d say either bandit or the one that increases ranged damage as you pickup ammo

          I also struggled finding many mutators (I’m convinced I still miss plenty), but the ones the Pan in Ward 13 sells are some really good ones, if you use them with matching weapons. Can’t go wrong on those :D Especially Bandit or Deadly Calm (works surprisingly good with long firing weapons, such as the Blackmaw)

    The cube gun is a lot of fun, works really well against any enemy with projectiles.

    Acid rounds with the auto shotgun also shreds everything, it’s like a better version of hot shot.

      I found the range for the cube gun to be somewhat restricting, but it does look soooooo cool.

      There’s an acid version of Hot Shot? Damn, I gotta find this for an inevitable acid build :D

    I just started using the Blackmaw AR with corrosive rounds. I had also picked up an amulet from N’erud that adds more Corrosive damage. I think the Blackmaw is just a good base gun especially when it comes to Mod recovery.

      The Blackmaw is INCREDIBLY good while being easy to use. I recently switched to the 1860 Rifle though to pair with fast firing or low range sidearms I find interesting (esp. the elemental guns).

      Have you tried the Bandit mutator on the Blackmaw? That thing basically fires for minutes if you get lucky enough :D

          I think it’s available at the vendor in ward 13, if you haven’t got it yet.

          And I know it’s an investment, but the lvl 10 upgrade really let’s the mutator shine with the increased fire rate. If you have the resources, try it out! :)
