They definitely do that. I know a guy who frequently rants that democrats or pro choice people are “baby killers”. I tried to explain that a baby and a fetus are different things even if one develops into another. This devolved into an argument about where to draw that line. It did not go well.

The line is rather grey, but most people would agree that there is a certain point in the pregnancy when voluntary abortion is ethical, and that it should be allowed even later if the mother has a good reason, or her life is in danger.

I really don’t think it is grey. This is about bodily autonomy, right? If you can extract the fetus without it dying when extracted, don’t let it die after you extract it. If there’s a way for a fetus to survive if it gets removed after the 8th week, great. Put it in the incubator or whatever. The point is that the pregnant woman should not be forced to have it in her body.

Weirdly, I never hear about anti-abortionists talk about how artificial womb technology should be researched and developed.

This is the viability / bodily autonomy argument combined. I don’t think conservatives find it all that compelling as they are advocating for the rights of the unborn. You wouldn’t turn off the life support of someone that is conscious but on a ventilator, right? It’s the same principle. I’m just telling you from their perspective.

I think the strongest argument in favor of abortion is the consciousness argument (around 24 weeks I think).

It’s not so simple otherwise we would have all figured it out long ago.

Most people are pro choice yes. The fact that media outlets allow this shit to be talked about like it is actually a half and half thing is ridiculous.

It is simple. If you believe a person for ANY reason at ANY time could be allowed to have a fetus aborted EVER meaning it could never grow, it will kill the mother, and she was raped by her own father at age 8. YOU ARE PRO CHOICE. Period. If you are against that. You are anti choice.

Pro choice saves lives, anti choice kills and ruins lives
