Labor is always the one to introduce union busting laws that the conservatives run hard on when they get back in power. This will end up costing Labor dearly.

Oh no! What will all the ford ranger owners do now? Coincidentally the governments just passed a law that’ll keep more bodies out of the Yarra.

So I used to be a tradie. Been to lots of construction sites

Unpopular opinion, but a lot of the CFMEU are bullies honestly.

I know people who stuck CFMEU stickers on their helmets simply to stop getting hassled by them onsite. A CFMEU guy told me off once for sitting on the ground COMPLETELY out of the way of everyone eating lunch (he was clearly letting me know who was in charge)…

There were stories onsite of bikies running “lotteries” and such too.

Also, if you weren’t part of the union, you had trouble getting onto union sites… it was total crap

I’m for Unions (and very left leaning)… But, my experience with the CFMEU showed they were nothing except abusive unless you kissed their arse. Also, to be clear, I’m not a business owner (and honestly, I got shit pay, which was part of the reason I left… But even with shit pay, I STILL wouldn’t join the CFMEU)

There are good unions out there. CFMEU however wasn’t about being fair, they were just toxic bullies (many of which were clearly overcompensating)
