The Medium.

I enjoyed the game a great deal, and it has MANY bone-chilling sequences like this one that utilize pure atmosphere and narrative to evoke truly imposing dread.

This is concept art for one of the many monsters in the game that exist right outside reality. A dimension in which the protagonist partially exists in addition to reality, hence, she is a “medium” able to communicate with both the living and the dead.

The monsters on the other side are representations of a corresponding living, or dead, person.
