Possibly the best solution would be to omit information about sex from birth certificates entirely.
And that is in fact exactly why I said that - because a birth certificate really is “a certificate to show that you were born on the day and that is it.”
@WatDabney Sorry I missed that. However since removing it entirely is not an option, then changing it is the next best option. It might not be a big deal for most people but it’s safer for trans people to be able to change it due to a hostile world we are in.
