I bought The Farmer Was Replaced yestarday, so I’ll probably be finishing it over the weekend. It’s a cute programming incremental game, but if you have 0 experience with writing code the later challenges might get too difficult

I finally got round to picking up a PS5 this week and have been really enjoying Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart - it’s just beautiful to look at and genuinely fun to play. Looking forward to more of that over the weekend! I’ve also been trying out Astro’s Playroom, the free tech demo that comes with the console. I was half expecting it to be a gimmicky piece of advertising - but it’s really well made! The platforming is excellent and all the little references to games are cute.

Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch is a free fan project created by CutmanMike and Team MM8BDM which translates the Classic Mega Man games into a unique, yet very familiar first person shooter experience

what? Fucking hell these free fan projects are out of control. This looks awesome.

Still on my borderlands one playthrough, level 25, it’s fun, I’m excited to see where it goes.

I keep hearing borderlands 2 is where it’s at, but I wanted to start at the beginning.

I preferred 1 to 2. In 2 the enemies start to get rather spongey with their life and that sucked a lot of the enjoyment out of it for me. From a character choice perspective, I also greatly preferred Lilith as the Siren.

Moonlight Rabbits, an incremental/idle game with adorable bunnies!

Also Stardew Valley with friends again, and My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! -Pirates of the Disturbance-. The latter is an otome game (basically think a visual novel specifically aimed at women, and romance is a major component) based off the My Next Life as a Villainess anime/manga.

In the anime/manga, a girl who loves otome games dies and gets reincarnated into the villainess of one of the games. That villainess dies or is exiled in misery in a lot of the game’s ends, so the girl tries to prevent those things from happening. The girl is a really nice person unlike the original villainess, and inadvertently ends up attracting a ton of suitors, both male and female. She’s also super romantically oblivious to any advances towards herself since she is thinking of herself as the game’s villainess, and she’s canonically, self-acknowledged in the game to be dumb, so it is way less infuriating than it would be in most other media. It’s a romcom. And then it got an actual real-life otome game made out of it, the one I’m playing, which also seems to be a romcom.

After loving Prey, I’m now playing Dishonored. So far so good, I like how quickly I was able to get zooming and target highlighting in lore appropriate ways!

I’ll be continuing my unarmed only New Vegas playthrough. One punch manning bastards into piles of goop is incredibly satisfying, no joke.

Aragami 2 with a friend if we can align schedules. It‘s not as good as the first game, feels pretty uninspired and passionless. It‘s still a servicable stealth game, but you can probably find better games for that itch if you look around.

On my own, I‘d like to finish Marsupilami. It‘s a neat little colorful platformer that I‘d say is perfect for children. It‘s pretty easy and short but the last couple levels are more challenging. Since the Steam sale is on right now and the game‘s dirt cheap discounted, I‘d say give it a try if you guys like platformers and need a chill one. Runs at a locked 90 on Steam Deck at 7-8W (IIRC, maybe even less, you‘ll figure it out).

I‘d also like to play more Monument Valley 2. The first and second game (so far) are splendid. They‘re very creative (but not hard) puzzle games in the look of an optical illusion (the exact term for these kinda optical illusions escapes me right now, but if you have a look at the store page‘s trailer, you‘ll instantly know what I mean). Both games are dirt cheap on sale too and you just can‘t go wrong with them, IMO. Even if you don‘t like puzzle games, the games are a unique experience and short anyway.

Edit: Also forgot Wuthering Waves got its update today, definitely gonna check that one out, I liked it a lot so far.

I just played Pony Island last night, and I might go through and get the tickets, we’ll see.

I also installed a few games as well, so I’ll probably play a couple of them:

    • Hell Pie
    • Yakuza 3
    • Lair of the Clockwork God
    • Euro Truck Simulator

And then I have a few that I’m partially done with that might get some attention. I’m taking next week off for a family trip, so I don’t have to be as responsible about getting to bed at a reasonable time this weekend. :)

If I can work through enough of them, I’ll allow myself to buy some more this Steam sale. I have way too many games, so I’m trying to finish (with a loose definition for finish) more than I buy. So far I haven’t bought many at all this year (maybe 2?).

I’ve been playing through cyberpunk 2077 and it’s been a lot of fun. Slowly completing all sides quests before advancing the main story line.

Recently started Fallout 3 on steam deck, am a few hours in, pretty good game! Love the freedom, the exploration, but it can occasionally be a challenging game with the fighting and various encounters. Story is good so far.

Depends on what’s on offer in the steam sale! Although I did pick up the Myst remaster, so I might just be having a crack at that
