I see victims of communism accountants have a new job. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that Pentagon numbers might be more accurate than your propaganda:

And it depends on, you know, that goes up or down depending on what individual factor you’re looking at. Tanks, fighter aircraft, missile inventory, troops, I mean, but the aggregate tells us that they are under 85 percent of their assessed available combat power when they started this invasion.

I won’t comment on the number but for sure, Russia is trying to make less civil casualties that’s why they take more risk than in Afghanistan and likely to loose more solider.

I don’t support Afghan invasion but as an adult with a bit of knowledge inf geopolitics, this hypothesis makes unfortunately “sense”. This is war, this is the world as it is. :/
