Does anyone else hear partake in the 1001 albums challenge?

I’m currently doing the generator, but it’s my 3rd run through of all the albums in it. If you’re looking for new music, this is a great way to discover something you’d never discover on your own

For stuff that’s ‘new to me’ I’ve had a few that I rated 5 stars on first listen: Bill Evans Trio - Sunday at the Village Vanguard, Willie Colón & Rubén Blades - Siembra, Drive Like Jehu - Yank Crime, and Miles Davis - Birth of the Cool.

Other than that, there have been quite a few albums that I already loved that I’ve rated 5 stars, and this was a nice reason to revisit all of those.

I host a Bring Your Own Vinyl night at bar near my house and Siembra was a huge hit the night somebody brought it in.

Also doing it (just rated my 850th record). When I saw the cover I was really not anticipating this record. On top of that, I am really picky when it comes to latin music.

I started the album and I had so much fun listening to it. I can’t understand how I never heard a single song before, the songs are so catchy and full of energy.

No. I listen to the same band on repeat for the last decade. On occasion i toss on something else, but then switch back after a couple songs.
