Dude has had a real Russkij Mir experience: can’t trust anyone, doesn’t get fed, sees the Russians’ complete disregard for human life and the resulting body count.

Am a little bit surprised by his nativity given his experience. When I was in the forces, I always learned in training that urban warfare is a meat grinder and that the attackers will lose a multiple of men of the defenders (5 to 1 or so? It’s over 15 years ago). Can only have gotten worse with drones which bring the threat of aerial forces to urban warfare. Don’t know what he expected.

Also I wouldn’t count on the Chinese comrady as much once life is actually on the line. Their military mostly had experience bullying. However, I think I’m case of an invasion of Taiwan, things would look somewhat different.
