    Why? You should teach the same things to your son at the least for empathy , the most for prevension.

      The way my mother “taught” me doesn’t exactly leave me with a good impression of what women are about or why I should treat them any different from men.

      We don’t talk anymore, and I will never have kids.

                    Yeah that guilt attempt’s not gonna work here.

                    This isn’t an appeal for empathy deal. A comic thread on casual, normalised abuse women face on the internet isn’t the place to unpack your personal trauma about an abusive parent. You’ll notice i didn’t bring my abusive mother up either - because it’s not the place.

                    There’s a nasty habit in some circles of waiting until someone else speaks and then seizing that opportunity to unload your shit. At its worse it’s a bad faith whataboutism tactic designed to derail. At its best it’s a maladaptive coping mechanism. Find how to speak on your own.

            I never said the abuse they suffered was a good thing. Nor that they have to interact with women at all. In fact both things I did say fit perfectly with them never interacting with women.
