The way my mother “taught” me doesn’t exactly leave me with a good impression of what women are about or why I should treat them any different from men.
We don’t talk anymore, and I will never have kids.
This isn’t an appeal for empathy deal. A comic thread on casual, normalised abuse women face on the internet isn’t the place to unpack your personal trauma about an abusive parent. You’ll notice i didn’t bring my abusive mother up either - because it’s not the place.
There’s a nasty habit in some circles of waiting until someone else speaks and then seizing that opportunity to unload your shit. At its worse it’s a bad faith whataboutism tactic designed to derail. At its best it’s a maladaptive coping mechanism. Find how to speak on your own.
I never said the abuse they suffered was a good thing. Nor that they have to interact with women at all. In fact both things I did say fit perfectly with them never interacting with women.
i’ll go into the damn woods if i please, keeps me farther away from you, and you farther away from me, which we’ll both appreciate at the end of the day. :)
Why? You should teach the same things to your son at the least for empathy , the most for prevension.

What? Why shouldn’t his daughter and son be taught that sometimes, men act inappropriately and that women feel threatened and all the rest?
I think hes kidding bro :)
Yeah, I think it was a reference to an SNL skit from 1979? Not really as funny anymore.

Well that last part is good. If you’d stay out of the woods it’d be appreciated as well.

Ah. There it is.
Did you not read the abuse story or are you wilfully ignorant?
Yeah that guilt attempt’s not gonna work here.
