I live somewhere rural, birdsong in front of my open door right now. When I saw the image I could immediately hear the faraway, slowly approaching “Screeeech-eeeack-eeeeech” in my head. And felt a little nostalgic, but only a little.
I live in a loop of apartment buildings with my windows facing the inside, there is a pretty big inner yard shared by two dozen buildings (so like supermarket carpark big) with greenery. Plenty of birds for my cat to watch :D. Or listen to, just opened a window to check.
Really wouldn’t want to live in one of the apartments facing the other way, it’s a rowdy part of town, but that’s also why I like it. Stepping outside the front door, everything a city has to offer is within walking distance.
Is this some joke I live too close to a metro, tram and bus station to understand?

That’s nice.
