Some Iowa parents say the high costs they're paying for child care is changing their family dynamic.Jennifer VansCoy is a mental health therapist with two kids,
“We pay more for daycare than we do our mortgage, which blows my mind on a daily basis,” VansCoy said.
They pay $1600 a month for summer daycare, and $1,100 during the school year.
“What my salary was, minus daycare cost, minus student loans, I was bringing home, like, an extra $500 a month. Right, that’s all we were breaking even, was $400-500 a month for me working full-time,” she said.
But why aren’t millennials having children???
