    This is why English is such a pathetic language. Many languages have the same word for both (tortue, Schildkröte, tortuga, tartaruga…). So if you put the animal in the water and it says “Mais je suis une tortue, abruti”, you can ignore it and keep your smug smile (see panel 1).

      Hummm, I hope you’re joking around or are somehow sarcastic… But the Frenchies have way to much ego.

      Actually we do differentiate both:

      • Wasser schildkrote/ Land schildkrote
      • Tortue aquatique/ Tortue terrestre

      So yeah having Tortoise/Turtle to differenciate both is actually a good idea, because they both ARE different.

      Like the difference between:

      Bat/mouse Chauve-souris/souris… Wtf man?

      It like saying: Ape/Evoluted-ape

      Doesn’t make sense huh?
