China is on track to amass what will be the world’s fourth-largest fleet in a few short years, with new trade routes being created specifically for Chinese EVs.
Fully agree. Repairabiliy should be a prereqisite for all car manufacturers to sell new cars. No matter the country of the manufacturer and no matter if EV or not. I’d appreciate something like all spare parts must be available for at least 15 years, within 3 weeks on demand and for a price no more than 300% of the proportional value in the original car. In case they run out of spare parts, they should be responsible to produce an adequate solution (3D printing, retrofit of a newer part or in worst case replacement of the whole car) for said price.
