So I have to wonder, is there a way to update some of the communities on the Community tab? I know that we had a lot of defederation, and of course some of those communities, while outdated, still appear on the list. Would be nice to be able to cull them so we’re not leading people into getting their hopes up.
From my understanding the only way to do this is the admins do it 1 by 1 individually purging each community. It’d be very tedious. Also, even though we’re defederated some of these communities might still pop up in search, so someone could easily re-add them again.
If I have time to kill one day I might go about doing this, but it’s really not something that could be done regularly. Atleast with the current tools.
There’s no rush or anything and I’m sure you have your hands full as it is.
These communities are sorted by active users/month. The problem will solve itself once defederation lasts longer than that.
