I just wanted to say that I am so very SUPER excited for this show. I just watched the first 2 episodes and it blew away any expectation I had. I grew up on TAS and loved that show so much.
I was nervous about them messing it up, but I feel safe in their hands now. The fights were awesome and I can’t wait for more of that sweet theme music. I was sad about >!Storm being scared by the thunder!<. I am ready to be entertained like an excited school boy again.
I wonder what storylines they will cover. It seems like they are going toward >!Inferno!<.
I also really liked how some of the scenes/lines were call backs to the first 2 episodes of TAS. I think the are writing Cyclops better this time too, compared to TAS.
I plan on rewatching the first two episodes but my initial impressions are mostly positive. The first episode was ok outside of the best action sequences but the second episode planted seeds for interesting future storylines. I remain cautiously optimistic about the show’s prospects.
Lastly, I’m not really digging Magneto’s outfit in the show. The classic suit is one of the best suits from superhero comics in my opinion. I don’t understand why his suit is new and different and the rest of the characters suits are essentially the same as the original 90’s show.
