    I love how the sovereign citizen group page has the American flag in their picture. Like what are you sovereign from if you’re still American?

        And don’t forget that all these Soverign Citizen IDs, License Plates, etc. are bought with real money. Curious how these “coupons” don’t seem to work on these storefronts.

        Where I am at, “Law enforcement officers may ask to see your insurance card during a traffic stop or at the scene of a car accident. If you can’t show proof that you have a policy, you may be charged with a Class C misdemeanor, which is punishable by a fine of $300. Additionally, the officer can choose to have your vehicle towed.Feb 14, 2024”

        So if they tow your car for not having insurance your fees will likely go up fairly fast. Usually up to $150 towing plus a fee per day that it is there. Varies by area.

          That’s cheap. Here it is a criminal offense, which can lead up to fines of 180 days of income, half a year behind bars, and loss of the driving license. Well, and of course this car cannot be driven anymore, so either you get it towed or you get an insurance voucher.

        It varies by state. In Ohio it’s basically a fine and they take away your car, license, and registration until you get minimum liability insurance. That is

        $25,000 for bodily injury per person $50,000 for bodily injury per accident $25,000 property damage

      the idea that cars mean freedom is truly the most impressive piece of marketing ever pulled off, mmm yes i can certainly smell the freedom as i sit in a mile long queue on the highway huffing recycled exhaust fumes.

      meanwhile a bicycle is so untraceable that if someone steals one it effectively becomes theirs, and combined with public transport you can spend your night sleeping on a train and wake up for some adventures in a completely different country.

        Thank you. I dived in. My attention span held out the first 24 minutes.

        So far my main takeaway is that anyone who wants to stand up as a sovereign citizen needs to have a loud persistent unwavering personality and attitude for this. The kinda person who’s good at memorizing all this and talking loudly & incessantly, and never backs down.

        Kinda the same personality it requires to be a lawyer, but sovereign citizens refuse to submit to the system. They’re standing up for fundamental human rights and they’re willing to martyr themselves for it, one legal confrontation at a time.

      Insurance isn’t required for your car. It’s required to drive for everyone else’s car, and required for when the bank still owns your car, but not when it’s yours.

        To clarify, since you’re getting down voted. You have to carry liability insurance in case you damage someone’s property or harm someone with your car. If you crashed in to someone, your insurance would pay for the damages to the person and their car, but your own car would require you to pay out of pocket. You can also get insurance to cover your own car, (which is sometimes required on leased/financed vehicles) which would cover damage to your car in the case of an uninsured or underinsured driver, weather, vandalism and more. I’m sure this is what you meant, but you didn’t say it in a way that made sense to a lot of people.

        eBay motors sold listings make me think they aren’t getting into a used Model S Plaid for less than around 55k. If they aren’t paying taxes or insurance, they aren’t paying down a loan for the car because the creditor would repossess that shit so fast.

          I bet that car is either recently purchased or they’re actually paying their loan considering that you can disable a Tesla with the Vin. It’s one of the most connected cars in the world.

                sensible law breakers just silently drive a car with bogus license plates and a fake license, and behave better on the roads than 90% of the population so the police has no reason to even notice their existence

    In their make believe world, is stealing from a sovcitizen a crime? Since “the law” doesn’t apply and the cops “have no authority”, it sure looks like they’re walking around with “free loot”

      First time I’ve seen anyone propose this, but I remember in a vid where a man referred to his child daughter as “property,” so I think they have strong beliefs about this topic.

    Taxes pay for roads. If you are a sovereign citizen, I don’t see why you would be allowed to use or park on them.
