Got a report on this not being marked nsfw, so update that please.

I went back and forth a lot on whether it was NSFW. I tried to use previous posts as a guideline.

Thanks. I tend to push the limit a bit, personally, but then I also actually see the reports when I go past it, so I can step back asap.

Not marking posts nsfw has a positive effect on visibility and thereby also helps a community grow, so there’s incentive to not mark nsfw whenever possible. Still whenever it bothers someone enough for them to speak up I usually just oblige em. Unless it’s very clearly sfw. There’s that rare type of person that shows up in the wild sometimes, for whom all anime women are too much.

It’s a blurry line, and I’ve gotten a slap on the wrist from the .world admins for trying to figure out where it is. I’m personally so non-offended by arousing media I don’t always even realize something I post crosses it.

I agree. I’ve been in servers where posting fanart of a female character in a swimsuit is considered NSFW but half-naked men in same swimsuits is SFW. Big booba =/= NSFW for me When I’m trying to determine whether something is NSFW, I ask myself:

          • Does the artwork have a sexual tone to it?
          • What is the character wearing?
          • If someone clicked through the NSFW filter, would they go “really? that’s it?” or would they feel the filter is truly warranted?

I honestly wish there was a set standard guideline for what’s considered NSFW so I can stop guessing.
