if either the website or the app for a service is faster than the other, i’ve found that it’s always the app. That’s not to say the app isn’t still much slower than it needs to be, or that the app is always faster, but i have yet to see a website that is faster.

If the website is just a plain HTML site and not a “progressive” web app, it can often be faster.
there’s a massive difference in what can be done with native gui libs and a plain html website though
