Despite Star Trek: Discovery’s critical success, it was far from a fan-favorite. Though all four seasons boast an average 85 percent critical score, the audience score is at a dismal 37 percent. Since audience scores are more strongly correlated to overall viewership, Discovery simply wasn’t pulling the numbers to make it a financially viable intellectual property.

The third season of Picard was the best. But it’s literally just fanservice.

It has little to say as a story (though the returning presence of changelings in the alpha quadrant has potential) the season just boils down to “omg that’s a character I know” and “omg that’s a ship I know” as well as some cathartic moments involving those. It’s not all bad, it gave us this.

The first two seasons are not worth watching.
